{Blog} Honesty, Transparency & Trust

January 3, 2019

I Received an email the other day from a colleague (I work with many entrepreneurs that produce films and many different products and services). For those of you who know me, know I also offer many different types of online courses, products and services. Kong shared this info with me and I defiantly wanted to share this with you here on my blog.

I never thought I’d be writing a blog about baby powder and asbestos to thousands of people.

But after this shocking report leaked last week, I decided to pass this on.

Because, embedded in this tale of cancerous baby powder is an important lesson about transparency and trust for us all.

WHAT WENT DOWN:

A recent exposé on Johnson & Johnson (the multi-billion dollar company behind household names like Band-Aid, Tylenol, Neutrogena and more) claims the company had asbestos in their baby powder for years.

Even on the surface, that sounds bad...

But it gets way, way, way worse.

Let me show you why…

Having asbestos in your products = BAD (asbestos is known to cause cancer).

Having asbestos in a product mainly used for babies = VERY BAD (you really need to be careful any time kids are involved).

But the most damning part of the report was that Johnson & Johnson executives allegedly knew the powders tested positive for small amounts of asbestos … and they didn’t tell regulators for decades.

The company is getting hammered for this. They lost more than $50,000,0000,000 (Yes, that’s 50 followed by 10 zeros!) in market value just two days after the report went live.

 Read the report here:

 https://www.reuters.com/investigates/special-report/johnsonandjohnson-cancer/

And the public is furious. Some have even said that they’ll never buy Johnson & Johnson products again.

That’s how a situation goes from BAD to TOTALLY Belly Up.

But wait, why am I talking about baby powder in a blog for people interested in my services such as my online courses and growing their business?

On the one hand, seeing stories like this makes my blood boil. And I want to make sure "Jump cut" readers know about companies like this so they can avoid them.

But on the other hand, it made me remember and realize how important it is to be open, honest and earn the trust of your customers every single day.

Because whether you’re standing in a grocery store trying to decide what baby powder to buy or if you’re sitting at your computer trying to choose an online course, trust is everything.

As the old saying goes, “It takes a lifetime to build a reputation, seconds to destroy it.”

Ive learned in life and in business some things don't always go right, thats for sure-That's why being upfront and honest when things go wrong is the only way to have the trust of your customers. That’s one of the reasons Im highlighting this on my blog so everyone can see... Thats why I bring you quality products and services, I don't waiver on quality or settle for something that's thrown together. And if something isn't working, you'll be the first to know.

Thats also why I share testimonial's of real students success stories right on it's own page of my website: https://www.loriepaige.com/success-stories

We don't pressure anyone to do a testimonial. They are happy to share how it's changed their lives. I know of many companies who strong arm their clients to write testimonials.

IE: "I want you to go on Facebook and say good things about me,  and the great results I'm doing for you. If not, I won't produce the results for you any longer."

(Not to mention, those who post random made up testimonials).

Thats why on my website I list their names, their occupation, and exactly what they’ve accomplished after working with me, because I don’t want to hide anything from you.

That’s why I show you how different my courses are VS. everybody else's.

That’s also why I'm rolling out new and unheard of offers & guarantee's on all of my courses.

I want you to feel 100% safe that you’re making a great choice.

And that’s also why last month my new team members approached me and said we needed to make some big changes, Like who to do business with, and making training programs even better, And rolling out some Free course's.

I didn’t even bat an eye.

I said, “Let’s do it".

Even though many people have already signed up for my products, service's, courses and one on ones …

And even though I've had many comments from people saying how much value they’ve gotten from the previous versions,

I know "good enough" is never enough.

I know my team and I have to keep earning your trust every day. And the best way to do that is to keep making everything we do better and better.

By the way, that free training I was referring to is coming out soon, So keep an eye out for announcements on my Facebook page here. And sign up for email updates here.

I don't want you to miss this!

Get ready for the most in-depth, mind-blowing content I’ve ever released.

Last but defiantly not least, Im very happy to announce I've brought on an amazing team of individuals who work with me to help you succeed. It's cost thousands to create and produce the content & videos, they are unlike anything you’ve seen.

But more importantly, the results you’re going to get because of this, is going to be insane.

And I can’t wait for you to see it!

As always, Stay tuned for more on this blog for plenty of positive and actionable tools and insights you can use. Also be sure to report back your own experiences with transparency and honesty even if it's been a hard road. And please, if you found this information useful, then spread the love and use the links below to share this post with people you know.

Until then, Love and Light.

Lorie Paige
